Priority Matrix Added to Virtual Data Wall

The DWH Virtual Data Wall has been updated to include a “Priority” matrix to support schools in targeting and identifying students based on TVAAS projections and DEA benchmark data.

There are two matrices specifically that now appear tot he right of the TVAAS/DEA matrix.  You can click on the plus sign for each to get a better description but I have captured the info and posted below:

  • PRIORITY
    • Enrich = Students who are exceeding their TVAAS projections on the most recent DEA assessment.
    • Encourage = Students who are performing at or just above their (TVAAS) projected achievement level on the most recent DEA assessment.
    • Monitor = Students who are performing at or below their (TVAAS) projected achievement level on the most recent DEA assessment.
    • MultiYear = Students who are projected by TVAAS to be below basic or low basic and whose performance on the most recent DEA assessment matches projections.
    • No TVAAS
  • PRIORITY STATUS
    • Achievement Gain Likely (*) = Students whose score indicate a possibility of Achievement growth (i.e. Basic to Proficient)
    • TVAAS Gain Likely (++) = Students whose most recent DEA score indicates they may likely affect TVAAS positively (greatly outperforming TVAAS projections on the most recent DEA assessment)
    • TVAAS Gain Possible (+) = Students whose most recent DEA score indicates they may possibly affect TVAAS positively (performing at or slightly above TVAAS projections on the most recent DEA assessment)
    • TVAAS Loss Possible (-) = Students whose most recent DEA score indicates they may possibly affect TVAAS negatively (underperforming TVAAS projections on the most recent DEA assessment)
    • TVAAS Loss Likely (- -) = Students whose most recent DEA score indicates they may likely affect TVAAS negatively (greatly underperforming TVAAS projections on the most recent DEA assessment)

Clicking on any of the numbers included in each matrix will populate a list of students who are identified in that grouping.  Below is a screen-capture of the matrices (click to enlarge).

NOTE:  Even though the Priority Status matrix will be populated for 3rd grade students, for the 2013-14 assessment year these students will have no impact on TVAAS calculations.
